How does it work?
As soon as we receive payment for the reservation, we will send you an ebook with guidelines for preparing for the retreat and we we’ll send a survey meant to gather your personal data and medical history information.
On the day of arrival, an introduction and preparation for detox will be made.
The diagnosis with the Chinese Medicine Therapist begins at the moment the photo of the tongue is sent. After the evaluation a personalized detox plan will be designed following the orientations from the principles of the Traditional Chinese Medicine.
During the retreat you may further deepen your work through different proposed detoxifying practices or integrative therapies.

Therapeutic Walk – Hills and Sea
We will walk mindfully through the hills and along the Atlantic coast, absorbing the wisdom of nature. These moments are opportunities to release tension, calm the nervous system, and open inner space.

Daily Practices for Well-Being and Balance
Moments devoted to the conscious care of the body, the calming of the mind, and the sensitive listening of the heart. These are gentle, nurturing practices, attuned to the rhythm of the group, inviting you to inhabit the present with greater ease and presence.

Daily Silence Periods (7 PM to 7 AM)
We cultivate silence not as absence, but as full presence. During these periods, you will be invited to dive into a more inner space, promoting deep rest and introspection.

Progressive Detox Based on Traditional Chinese Medicine
It begins with a liquid diet — infusions, soups, and juices — available throughout the day without fixed schedules, allowing you to serve yourself according to your needs. This is followed by the gradual introduction of a light, vegan solid diet, carefully designed to support the organs during the detox process.

Before the retreat, you will receive practical guidance to help you prepare mindfully and in alignment with the experience you are about to embark on.

Post-Retreat Support
During the seven days following the retreat, should you have any questions or need support, you can reach out to us via WhatsApp. For an additional fee, you may choose to extend your stay at Quintinha do Mar or add a personalised online follow-up program.
*If, during the retreat, you feel any discomfort, there is no problem — your diet will be adapted according to your needs and well-being. All activities and proposals can be adjusted throughout the retreat, respecting the group flow and individual needs. The most important thing is that you feel safe, welcomed, and in tune with your process.

Schedules:
Arrival: Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM and may be extended until 8:00 PM. If you are unable to arrive during this time, please inform us when making your reservation.
Check-out is at 10:00 AM. You may store your belongings elsewhere on the Quintinha grounds and remain on the premises until 6:00 PM.
Dynamics:
Our retreats are completely personalized, in individual format or in small groups. The group meets in the common rooms and in the activities room during practices. The activities take place indoors and weather permitting, preferably outdoors. If you prefer, meals can be served individually.
Weather:
Due to the proximity of the sea, it can be quite cold in Quintinha do Mar. It is important to know that we have a sustainable view on the use of energy and that is why heating (fireplace) takes place in the common rooms: living room activities, meals, etc. We do not use air conditioning.
